IDSA Public Health Committee Brings ID Priorities to Congress

IDSA Public Health Committee members visited 30 congressional offices on April 22 to advocate for our legislative priorities. Issues included increased investments in public health activities to address outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases and infections associated with the opioid epidemic, incentives to promote antibiotic research and development, antibiotic stewardship requirements, improved compensation for ID/HIV physicians, additional resources for global health responses, and increased funding for ID research and training.
